Completed Project - The Mending Of A Broken Heart

I recently met the most wonderful, strong, beautiful mom.  She's an 18 year old single mom of an adorable 5 month old baby girl, Baileigh.  Baileigh was born with a serious heart condition ... and the 2 girls have been living together in the hospital ever since her birth.  Courtney, the mom ... and my new BFF ...  is hours away from her family

I was really touched by this story ... so I was thrilled when Courtney approached me and asked me to design a blog for her.

She uses her blog as a way to keep in touch with her family back home, and to keep everyone up to date with Baileigh's surgeries.

Today is a very exciting day for Baileigh.  Today, for the first time in her life, she is getting to go outside!!  My thoughts are with the girls, and I'm hoping they are enjoying the fresh air.

To make their day even brighter ... I just posted Courtney's newly designed website. I hope that this site will add even an extra bit of sunshine to their day ... and I hope that Baileigh will get all the medical attention she needs to recover, and head home real soon!

I invite all my readers to head on over to Courtney's site ... The Mending Of A Broken Heart ...  and show her some love!  She is such a beautiful  woman, and I acknowledge her for dealing with what she is dealing with so strongly!

Courntey ... I hope you love your new blog!
Baileigh ... get better real soon!

Hey Ro, I am not a blog hop person, I'm just stopping by... well, just because & to say hi. I left vB... deleted my acct, so partl I was coming to tell you that & partly just to see what new great blogs you were doing... then I ran across this one. I'm headed over to Courtney's website right after I finish this post. Did you know that I have a2 year old son that was also born with a critical heart defect? Actually he had four heart defects. Anyway, I want to reach out to Courtney, because It was SO hard when we were going through it with Josh & without friends & family around I cannot imagine what we would have done. I want to lift her & Baileigh up as much as possible. So I'm going to start at the beginning & read her story. I have so many great resources for heart mom's & kids. Though she's probably no where near ready for that right now, some day she might. I remember it was after we got Josh home, and after the trauma of the surgeries that I realized I needed support because no one around me could truly understood what I was feeling & the hell that my baby had gone through. So, though she doesn't know me, I hope that I'll be able to give her some resources & I'm going to let he know I'm here for her whenever she needs me. Thanks Ro for sharing their story

Ro, you did a beautiful job on Courtney's site and I love that you helped her find a creative way to journal her journey through this storm. Her story just breaks my heart. I can't even imagine the heartache she must be enduring (and at such a young age!) You rock, my friend. Keep on keeping on! :)

Blessings,
Rosann

First, let me just say that I love the blog design you've done. I was so touched by your story that I went rushing over to Courtney's blog to see how the outside journey went, but so far she hasn't posted anything. I'm following along, though!

This is a wonderful post. I'm glad to hear that she gets to leave the hospital! And what a nice thing that you've done. It's hard enough being a mom. . . much less a young mom, far away from home! You've done a wonderful thing. I'll check out her blog. STopping by late from vB members to remember!
